Thames Hospice is delighted to announce that Whitney and Megan, known collectively as ‘Wegan’, have become Ambassadors of Thames Hospice to help promote the work of the charity through their large social media following.
Luxury travel, fashion and lifestyle social media creators, the wife and wife team have been together and online for nearly 13 years and were the first lesbian couple on YouTube. Conquering long distance from the UK to Hawaii for years, they now reside in Windsor. Wegan are passionate about challenging stereotypes and strive to provide visibility to the LGBTQ+ community across the world through their social platforms and 250k+following. Whitney and Megan are passionate about raising awareness online and are the voice of the femme community.
Wegan have supported a number of Thames Hospice events, including several visits to its charity shops and the new facility by Bray Lake, near Maidenhead.
Wegan said: “We are honoured to support Thames Hospice and privileged to learn more about the charity and its amazing support for our local community. It's completely opened up our minds and hearts as to what hospice care stands for and seeing the incredible love and care families receive from the wonderful team at this amazing local charity."
Debbie Raven, Thames Hospice Chief Executive, said: “We are very proud to have Wegan on board as our Hospice Ambassadors to promote our work and to help tackle inequalities in end-of-life care for the LGBTQ+ community.”
