We have received a £2,500 donation to kick-off our 2018 partnership with URENCO Court.
Thames Hospice became a URENCO nominated charity after a staff vote at the beginning of 2018. The company, which provides uranium enrichment services for the civil nuclear industry, will be helping to raise vital funds and awareness for Thames Hospice throughout the year.
URENCO staff, Gary Sheppard, Clare Richards and Sally Goodenough, braved the 'Beast from the East', travelling from their office in Stoke Poges to present the cheque to Thames Hospice.
Thames Hospice Corporate Fundraiser, Mary-Ann Leader, said: "Thank you URENCO for the very generous company donation - our thanks to everyone involved in making this happen. To put the money into perspective, £2,500 could pay for a specialist bed that can be profiled to suit the individual patient, making a very real difference to the person's comfort while they stay with us."
Sally Goodenough, from URENCO's Communications Team, said: "URENCO Court voted to support Thames Hospice as one of its charities of choice for 2018. The company has supported the Hospice in previous years and colleagues were keen to help again when they heard of plans to build a new state-of-the-art building in the local community."
Welcome to Thames Hospice. We will keep you up to date with the latest news and updates about our work and fundraising activities.
