Tim Brooke-Taylor OBE opened our 19th shop, next to newly refurbished Vintage & Retro, in front of crowds of shoppers on Friday (15 June).
The dual store offers you the chance buy treasure from a bygone era, or step through Narnia's wardrobe doors to explore a world of contemporary goods in our newly opened sister shop. The Mayor of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Councillor Paul Lion, and Mayoress Mrs Laura Lion, alongside a Thames Hospice nurse Jess and Gloria, who attends our Day Therapy service, helped cut the ribbon on the expanded shop at noon.
Julie Rowley, Director of Retail at Thames Hospice, said: "We were overwhelmed by the fantastic support we received on Friday, from loyal customers and new ones. The party atmosphere only increased with the wonderful comments we received about both stores.
"We would like to say a huge thank you to Tim Brooke-Taylor OBE and the Mayor for the special words they said upon cutting the ribbon, which only emphasised how important the additional shop is in helping to increase the funds we can raise to support the Hospice."
The additional & revamped shops are part of our growth plans to support our new build, by Bray Lake. Our Vintage & Retro store, which recently featured in Time Outs nine best things to do in Windsor, will continue to sell an eclectic mix of fashion, collectables and memorabilia. The additional shop offers an extensive range of quality pre-loved womenswear, menswear and accessories, together with a beautiful range of new goods and homeware.
Welcome to Thames Hospice. We will keep you up to date with the latest news and updates about our work and fundraising activities.
