Thames Hospice is thrilled to announce that Sunita Arora has agreed to become a Thames Hospice Ambassador. Sunita has been supporting Thames Hospice since 2021 and invited the charity to be one of three beneficiaries of their prestigious Arora Ball, a well-known and high profile event which has raised millions of pounds for worthy causes over the past 10 years.

The Arora Ball, held last November, raised an incredible £1.2m for three charities, including Thames Hospice. Colleagues are deeply honoured that Sunita will continue supporting and promoting awareness of the work of the Hospice at a local and national level as an Ambassador.

Sunita Arora is one of the co-founders and an Executive Director of The Arora Group. The Arora Group is a successful private group of companies, consisting of some of the best hotels in Europe. Based in 11 locations across the UK, Arora Group partners with a multitude of global hospitality brands to deliver a portfolio of award-winning hotels in key destinations.

Sunita has been actively involved in the business since its inception in 1999, and launched a group of award-winning nurseries for younger children. Her interests include interior design for the business, noteworthy charitable works and support of the arts. Sunita is also one of the founders of the Arora Charitable Foundation alongside Surinder Arora. The Foundation supports social responsibility initiatives in the UK and overseas.

Sunita Arora said: “Over the last year, I have seen what a difference Thames Hospice is making within the community. If only I had known about the Hospice before now, my own experiences of end-of-life care would have been very different.

“I am delighted to become an Ambassador so I can tell everyone in my own communities the incredible care and support they can offer to help families struggling in their own homes. I am looking forward to myself and my family supporting the Hospice.”

With her own personal experiences to draw upon, she will be a huge asset in making a real difference to Thames Hospice.

Amy Chambers, Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Thames Hospice, added: “We are absolutely delighted to have the support of Sunita Arora as an official Hospice Ambassador, and to be working with the Arora Family. Sunita is deeply passionate about Thames Hospice and we are looking forward to working together on some exciting projects which will enable us to reach more patients who need our care in our community.”
