Hundreds of supporters suited up for Thames Hospices festive Santa Dash at Swinley Forest, Bracknell, on Sunday 24 November.

The annual fun run, once again generously supported by the Shanly Foundation, attracted almost 600 participants dressed in Santa suits, reindeer antlers, flashing noses and even their own festive creations. The dash saw some large groups taking part, including teams from local companies Worldwide Education, Charsley Harrison, End to End IT and Cadence.

Alison Evans, Head of Community and Events Fundraising, said: "Our annual Santa Dash is always such a great event which really kicks off the Christmas season. There was a fantastic atmosphere and the sea of red Santa suits was a sight to behold against the beautiful forest. Thank you to everyone who signed up and fundraised for us; the support we've been shown from our community and local organisations has been truly amazing this year."

Thames Hospice would also like to thank its incredible volunteers who helped on the day, which included help from the Thames Valley Police, and members of the Bracknell, Windsor and Maidenhead cadets. Delicious hot food and refreshments was supplied by the Langley and Iver Rotary Club, and there was a special visit from Santa and his sleigh courtesy of the Windsor Lions. This support from the community means that the Hospice can use more of the funds raised to support local families with terminal illnesses.
