For prospective students
We offer an annual work experience week for year 12 students who are hoping to study a degree in medicine, nursing or other allied health professions, such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy and paramedic science. The week includes clinical training, both in patient-facing and classroom settings, interacting with different professions and hands-on experience in a healthcare environment.
Our Work Experience Week will run from 27 - 31 July 2026. The application process has now closed for this year. Please revisit this page in early 2027 for the dates and details of next summer’s work experience week.
For healthcare professionals & undergraduates
We are able to offer experience days for undergraduate students and registered healthcare professionals. If you are a healthcare professional or student who would like to spend a day shadowing our clinical teams and experiencing Thames Hospice, please email education@thameshospice.org.uk
