For prospective students
We offer an annual work experience week for year 12 students who are hoping to study a degree in medicine, nursing or other allied health professions, such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy and paramedic science. The week includes clinical training, both in patient-facing and classroom settings, interacting with different professions and hands-on experience in a healthcare environment.
Our Work Experience Week will take place from 21 to 25 July 2025. The application process has now closed for this year, please refer back to this page in early 2026 for details of next year’s work experience week.

For healthcare professionals & undergraduates
We are able to offer experience days for undergraduate students and registered healthcare professionals. If you are a healthcare professional or student who would like to spend a day shadowing our clinical teams and experiencing Thames Hospice, please email education@thameshospice.org.uk
