Thames Hospice is an independent adult hospice with a new beautiful 28 bed hospice at Bray Lake in Maidenhead with views of the lake and state of the art facilities.

This is an exciting time for Thames Hospice as we further expand our services to meet the growing needs of our local community. Thames Hospice have launched our Virtual ward in Autumn 2022. This brand new service offers ‘wrap-around’ support to people in their homes ensuring they can receive care that meets their needs in a timely fashion with the aim of reducing the need for a Thames Hospice admission.
Working collaboratively you will be an integral part of an amazing multi-disciplinary team, working with doctors, clinical and pastoral care teams, therapists, physios and great support teams. Together you’ll ensure a high standard of provision of care for patients requiring palliative and end of life care.
You’ll be part of a team of registered nurses and carers, with consultant oversight, providing day to day leadership, management and continuous improvement of the delivery and services of the virtual ward.

Please note, you must be a registered nurse (adult) to apply, but experience of palliative or end of life care isn't essential.

Full clean driving licence and business insurance required for this role as you will travel to patients homes.

£35,175 per year (pro rata), plus shift enhancements
