Thames Hospice is an independent hospice with a beautiful purpose built 28 bed hospice at Bray Lake in Maidenhead, with views of the lake and state of the art facilities. We are currently recruiting for a Community Response Paramedic to join our busy Hospice at Home team to assist in providing care for patients requiring end of life care in their own homes.

In this role, you will report to a dedicated Clinical Specialist and work across a locality to provide individual care, including symptom control with the support of a Health Care Assistant.

Working collaboratively you will be an integral part of an amazing multi-disciplinary team, working with doctors, clinical and pastoral care teams, therapists, physios and great support teams. Together you’ll ensure a high standard of provision of care for patients requiring palliative and end of life care.

You will need to be a registered Paramedic with evidence of a broad range of experience and experience of triage would be desirable. You will need good communication skills, excellent care values and a strong sense of team spirit. We would expect you to have knowledge and understanding of current developments in palliative care and be willing to develop this further through training in the post.

A full clean driving licence and business insurance is required for this role as you will be required to travel to patients homes.

37.5 hours per week to include shifts, weekends and nights, shift times are 07.15 -19.45 or 19.15 - 07.45 with 1-hour break
