Looking for an exciting overseas challenge? Then this exciting adventure could be for you! Thames Hospice is offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to trek across the magnificent Sahara Desert whilst raising money towards its new state-of-the-art hospice by Bray Lake.
You will trek across ancient dried-up river beds, sand dunes and vast sun-baked plains in Morocco. You will experience the Berber way of life, sampling the traditional cuisine cooked by local guides and camping under the stars at night.
Thames Hospice’s very own Chief Executive, Debbie Raven, has signed up to the event. She said: “2019 is an exceptional year for us. In January we embarked on building a brand new home for Thames Hospice to ensure that we can provide more care for more people in our community for generations to come.
“I am so excited to be taking part and experiencing this amazing adventure together with some of our wonderful supporters, whilst raising funds for our hospice now and into the future.”
Included in the cost of the trip are:
- Return flights to Marrakech
- All transfers and transport in Morocco
- All meals and accommodation
- Camel porters and a full support crew.
There are still a few spaces so to find out more email Alison Evans, Head of Community and Event Fundraising.
