Our Lymphoedema Service is run by a team of nursing staff with specialist training in the management of lymphoedema.
Lymphoedema is a swelling caused by the build-up of lymph fluid in your body's tissues and is a result of inadequate lymphatic drainage. It can occur in one or more limbs but may also affect other parts of your body.
Lymphoedema cannot be cured, but it can be managed well with treatments, including skin care, exercise, compression garments and self-massage, Your therapist will discuss an individual treatment plan with you, as well as giving you advice on how to best manage your condition.
Clinics are held at the Hospice and community appointments may also be available. If you are a Healthcare Professional, you can refer a patient via our Referral Form or by calling us on 01753 848925. For further information, please download our Lymphoedema leaflet.
