Hospice at Home

We understand that separation from loved ones and familiar surroundings can make a serious illness even harder to bear. Our Hospice at Home services are here to help you remain in the comfort of your own home.

Inpatient care

Our Inpatient Unit is a 28-bed, specialist end-of-life and palliative care centre, located by Bray Lake on Windsor Road, Maidenhead.

Wellbeing & therapy services

Our aim is to help our patients remain as independent as possible. We offer a range of services in our Paul Bevan Wellbeing Centre to help build confidence and self-esteem, to ensure our patients maintain a good quality of life while managing their condition.

24-hour telephone advice & support line

We provide a 24-hour palliative and end-of-life care telephone service to give advice to people with palliative care needs and their families, as well as to healthcare professionals who need guidance and support on delivering palliative care.

Counselling & bereavement support

We understand that it can be overwhelming when a person is diagnosed with a life-limiting condition. Our Patient & Family Support Team is here to support patients and their loved ones through this difficult time.

Complementary therapy

Complementary therapy can be used alongside conventional medical treatments to aid relaxation, help reduce tension and anxiety, as well as relieve some muscular problems.

Physiotherapy

Our specialist palliative care physiotherapists play a key role in improving our patients’ quality of life, helping to optimise their mobility and wellbeing and to live as independently and fully as possible.

Lymphoedema services

Our Lymphoedema Service is run by a team of nursing staff with specialist training in the management of lymphoedema.

Our services are free of charge to all those in our community who need vital hospice care but this is only made possible through the charitable support and generosity of our amazing community. We need to raise £34,000 each day to fund our services 365 days a year to the people who need us most.
