In her 20 years working at Thames Hospice, Rosemary made a significant impact on the clinical teams, patients and families, and our supporters in the community.
Rosemary started her nursing career with the Royal Navy and enrolled as a nurse in 1966; stationed in Malta and serving in Northern Ireland. In 1990, Rosemary gained her Registered General Nurse Qualification and, after joining the Hospice, she quickly progressed from Staff Nurse to Senior Sister then Head of Patient Liaison Services, before heading up the Thames Hospice Rapid Response Team and 24-hour Advice Line.
Residing in Crowthorne, Rosemary is well known for her volunteering and fundraising efforts; even climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge for us whilst on holiday. Such is her love of the nursing profession, she worked with us until she was 70; retiring but not fully giving up her ties to Thames Hospice by becoming an Ambassador in 2018.
Rosemary, thank you for all you have done and continue to do for
