Rosemarie Ford opens the doors to our new shop
The cold really didn’t stop the local community in Old Amersham coming out to show their support at the opening of our new shop on Friday 2nd December.
Much-loved singer, dancer and TV presenter, Rosemarie Ford, cut the ribbon, as shoppers flocked to be first in the queue to bag the sought-after donations of clothes, accessories and upcycled homeware.
Rosemarie was also joined by other special guests, Councillor Mark Vivis and our lovely Health Care Assistant Samantha Pangborn. We also welcomed a surprise guest; actor Robert Lindsay who popped in to show his support for the new store and his wife Rosemarie.
The opening weekend generated more than £3,000 and Julie Rowley, Director of Retail, said: “We were delighted and honoured to welcome Rosemarie Ford and Mark Vivis, to open our beautiful new store and have been overwhelmed by the support from the local community. The weekend’s trade was fabulous and we are thrilled with the customers’ reaction to the store; we are sure it will continue to be a thriving success.”
