Remember a loved one at The Sunflower Walk
Thames Hospice is inviting you to walk in memory of a loved one at The Sunflower Walk on Saturday 18 May in Virginia Water. Last year The Sunflower Walk was one of three major community fundraising events which altogether raised a phenomenal £100,000.
Alison Evans, Head of Community and Events Fundraising at Thames Hospice, said: “Every year it’s wonderful to see familiar faces as well as new supporters join us with their family, friends and dog to walk in memory of their loved ones. We want to make it the biggest, brightest and most memorable Sunflower Walk ever so please sign up and fundraise as much as you can for us so we can continue providing care and support to local families in their greatest time of need.”
Generously supported by Reliance Worldwide Corporation and Conference Contacts, The Sunflower Walk is open to all ages and abilities, with a choice of a 13k, 6.5k or 4k route around the lake. Registration includes a T-shirt for adults and sunflower deely boppers for children; all walkers who cross the finish line will receive a medal. Plus, there will be entertainment and refreshments. For those supporters walking in memory of a loved one, there will be an opportunity to leave a message on the special Memory Tree.
Registration is now open and if you book before Wednesday 3 April, you can take advantage of the special early bird offer - £10 for adults and £2.50 for children. After this entry will cost £15 for adults and £5 for children. To book your place, click here.
