Nilesh joined the Board of Trustees at Thames Hospice in 2020 and sits on the Finance and Investment and Income Generation and Marketing Committees.
Nilesh is a Chartered Accountant and was a Partner and then CEO of Blick Rothenberg, a London based accounting and tax consulting practice. Having grown the business from 200 to 600 people he stepped down from the role in August 2020. Nilesh continues to act as a strategic adviser to Blick Rothenberg as well as sitting on the Advisory Board of another commercial business.
Nilesh chose to become a Trustee for Thames Hospice after experiencing first-hand the difficulty of caring for a family member at home without the support of a local hospice. During his time at Blick Rothenberg, Nilesh also supported a local children’s hospice and was moved by the work they did with very limited resources.
Nilesh said: “I feel very fortunate in my life and am fortunate to have skills and experience which others can hopefully use. Thames Hospice ticks all the boxes for me in terms of what it does and the values it lives by.”
Nilesh is married and has four children, three grandchildren and a dog. In his spare time he enjoys time with the family as well as walking, playing golf, reading and armchair support for most sports. He is an avid traveller having visited over 50 countries around the world.
