Top totals for festive fundraisers
It's been a busy few weeks in the Thames Hospice Fundraising Department and we've been getting in the mood
We held our annual Santa Dash on Sunday 29 November, where more than 600 Thames Hospice supporters created the biggest sea of Santas in Berkshire, at Swinley Forest in Bracknell.
Even with the wind and rain, everyone embraced the Christmas festivities to help raise more than £25,000 for us. Don't forget, the prize of two return flights to New York (USA), generously donated by BA Clubs Ltd, is still up for grabs to our highest fundraiser. The deadline to return all sponsorship is Sunday 31st January 2016 - the winner will be announced in February.
The Santa Dash was followed by a wonderful evening at our much-loved Wellington Christmas Concert on Thursday (3 December).
Hosted by Tim Brooke-Taylor OBE, and with readings from special guests, the Mayor of Bracknell, Dee Hamilton, Bracknell MP Dr Phillip Lee and Thames Hospice Ambassador Jason Bevan, it was another fabulous fundraiser.
We were lucky enough to have the Windsor Girls' School Choir and Windsor Boys' School Big Band performing alongside the
ever-popular Royal Harmonics. The concert looks set to generate more than £7,000 through ticket sales and a retiring collection on the night.
Thank you to everyone who has dashed, cycled, sung or supported us in any way over the past year - we couldn't keep the Hospice running without your support. Click the purple button below to check out our 2016 events programme.
