On Thursday 13 August 2020 Thames Hospice reopened its shop in Uxbridge to a (socially distanced!) crowd of eager shoppers and supporters. The store had undergone a refit during closure, after all the charity's shops were closed in March in accordance with the UK Governments guidelines.
On Thursday 13 August at 12pm Thames Hospice Chief Executive Debbie Raven was joined by the Mayor of Hillingdon Councillor Teji Barnes to celebrate the reopening of the store on Uxbridge High Street and welcome back returning customers.
Julie Rowley, Director of Retail at Thames Hospice, said: "We were thrilled with the amazing turn out at our Uxbridge shop. Thank you so much to the Mayor of Hillingdon for supporting us.
"Thank you also to our wonderful loyal customers for making our first day of reopening a great success. Uxbridge is one of our longest standing stores, so it is fantastic to be back open for business raising vital income for the Hospice once again."
The new look store offers customers an extensive range of pre-loved womenswear with a special department exclusively for women's accessories; a dedicated menswear section featuring preloved clothing and accessories; and a fun department for children with toys, games and clothing displayed on a colourful toy cart. There is also a selection of pre-loved homeware, with a full range of books, media, games and puzzles for all the family.
The store in Uxbridge is now open Monday Saturday, 9.30am-5.30pm, and Sunday 11am-5pm, with donations being accepted every day during opening hours.
