On Monday 15 June 2020 Thames Hospice reopened its shops in Windsor to a (socially distanced!) crowd of eager shoppers and supporters. All 22 of the charity's stores have been closed since March in accordance with the UK Government's lockdown measures during the coronavirus pandemic, resulting in a loss of £800,000 for the Hospice.

On Monday 15 June at 10.30am Thames Hospice Chief Executive Debbie Raven was joined by Windsor and Maidenhead Mayor Sayonara Luxton and award-winning Windsor-based influencers Wegan to celebrate the reopening of the Windsor stores on Peascod Street and welcome back returning customers.

Julie Rowley, Director of Retail at Thames Hospice, said: "We were thrilled with the amazing turn out on Monday in Windsor. Thank you so much to our special guests and to our wonderful loyal customers for supporting us. It was a very successful day of trading across the nine shops we opened yesterday.

"It is fantastic to be back open for business raising vital income for the Hospice once again. We cant wait to reopen the rest of our shops and welcome back even more customers on Monday 29 June."

The Hospices Windsor shop was just one of nine stores to reopen on Monday, with plans to open a further nine shops on Monday 29 June 2020. All shops which have reopened will now also be accepting donations between the hours of 9.30am-12.30pm.
