Thames Hospice opened its fabulous new shop in front of a sea of eager shoppers in Caversham last Friday (20 September 2019).
Thames Hospice Trustee Chris Aitken, alongside staff and volunteers, cut the ribbon on the new store at noon as crowds gathered outside to bag themselves a bargain from the fantastic choice of pre-loved clothing and accessories.
Julie Rowley, Director of Retail at Thames Hospice, said: "We were thrilled to open the doors to our new shop in Caversham on Friday and was overwhelmed and delighted by the fantastic response we had from the local community. Our store was busy the whole afternoon and across the weekend.
"We had amazing comments and feedback from customers and other traders in the High Street and we look forward to being part of the community for many years to come."
After a successful opening weekend, the shop raised enough money for the charity to pay for four syringe drivers to help treat a patient's symptoms in the Hospice.
The new store in Caversham offers an extensive range of quality pre-loved womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, and accessories, together with a beautiful range of new goods and homeware.
