Thames Hospice proudly marked the first anniversary of its Maidenhead Homestore in its new home in Boyn Valley Road with a vibrant community celebration attended by supporters, customers and volunteers.

The Homestore was transformed into a magical scene of preloved festive charm together with free cake and refreshments for customers.

Since its move one year ago, the Maidenhead Homestore has developed its role in the local community as a thriving hub for sustainable shopping. Offering a wide variety of preloved and upcycled furniture, homeware, library, children’s books, toys, and small Café, making it a destination in its own right.

Annie Campbell, Interim Retail Director at Thames Hospice said: “We are delighted that so many customers have joined us today to celebrate our first year in our new home. Our team have worked tirelessly to continue to make the Homestore an integral part of the Maidenhead community, and we are so grateful for the continued support, generous donations, and dedicated volunteers who make it all possible.”
Among those also celebrating was Sheree, a volunteer from Maidenhead, who shared: “Volunteering here is a joy. The team and volunteers are wonderfully welcoming, and working alongside such dedicated people is always a pleasure. The store is consistently beautiful, and today’s celebration reflects how deeply the community values it. This is more than a shop, it’s a special and meaningful place.”
