Thames Hospice opened its 20th shop in front of eager shoppers in Bracknell on Friday 9 November.
Much-loved actress and star of Only Fools and Horses, Sue Holderness, cut the ribbon at noon as crowds gathered outside to bag themselves a bargain from the fantastic choice of pre-loved clothing and accessories. Sue was also joined by the former Mayor of Bracknell, Councillor Mrs Tina McKenzie-Boyle, Thames Hospice Ambassador Carol Ellis and Nurse Julie Abraham.
The opening weekend was a huge success, with many local people visiting the store and thousands of vital funds generated for the charity. Julie Rowley, Director of Retail at Thames Hospice, said: "It's just wonderful to be back in Bracknell and we were so overwhelmed by the fantastic support we received on Friday. We are delighted with all the fabulous comments and feedback we have received and look forward to being part of the community again for many years to come."
The new store in Princess Square offers an extensive range of quality pre-loved womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and accessories, together with a beautiful range of new goods and homeware. The store is now open Monday-Saturday, 9.00am-5.30pm, and Sunday 9.00am-5.00pm.
