Soap star to relaunch Sunninghill shop
Local celebrity, actress Anita Dobson, will join staff and volunteers at the relaunch of our Sunninghill shop on
Friday 15 April 2016.
Best known for her role as Angie Watts in the BBC soap opera EastEnders, the TV star will cut the ribbon on the new-look shop, in the High Street, at noon. Allison Sharpe, Chairman of Sunninghill Parish Council and Chair of the Ascot Thames Hospice Fundraising Group, will cut the celebratory cake before customers are invited to browse the revamped shop and enjoy refreshments.
Julie Rowley, Thames Hospice Director of Retail, said:“We are so grateful to Anita for taking the time out of her busy schedule to add some stardust to what promises to be an exciting afternoon. Her support, on top of our existing loyal customer base, should ensure we generate lots of money so we can continue to care for local patients and their families at Thames Hospice.
"We would like to thank everyone for their amazing donations, which we look forward to showcasing on the day; join us and see what incredible items you can find.”
The store has been made over to create a fresh shopping experience for our valued customers, regulars and new, in the heart of the local community. It also includes a beautiful Boutique section to sell our most sought-after donations. The shop will continue to offer its range of womenswear and men’s fashion, plus children’s toys and games.
It is currently closed for refurbishment, but all donations are still gratefully received at our North Ascot shop, 4 Warren Row, Fernbank Road, North Ascot, SL5 8HN.
