SEC Recruitment visited Thames Hospice last week (6 February) to present a cheque for £4.5k, generated from the company's first Charity of the Year partnership.
The life sciences and IT/technology recruitment business, based in London, raised this amazing amount through a series of initiatives planned by employees throughout the year, such as bake sales, charity casino nights and themed dress-down days, including St Patricks Day and Christmas Jumper Day.
Speaking at the cheque presentation, SEC's Chief Executive Stuart Britton said: "This has been a great way for us to connect with a local charity that has a personal connection with our team. The efforts of everyone at SEC to raise this money are something I am very proud of."

Jane Symmons, Thames Hospices Head of Head of Major Gifts and Capital Appeal, said: "We have really enjoyed working with SEC Recruitment over the past year and have been overwhelmed by their creativity and dedication to raising vital funds for the Hospice. From their St Patricks Day cake sale to a Casino Night and sponsored challenges, the whole team has been committed to raising their incredible £4,500 total.
"This money will allow us to buy a specialist mattress for our Inpatient Unit, so patients can be as comfortable as possible while they are cared for by us. The Hospice relies on its supporters to fund around 80% of our running costs, so we wholeheartedly thank everyone at SEC Recruitment for their vital contribution."
