PRISYM ID partners with Thames Hospice
PRISYM ID, leading provider of labeling solutions for the medical device and life sciences industries, has announced Thames Hospice as its 2016 Charity of the Year.
The Wokingham-based company hopes to raise enough funds to help Thames Hospice purchase specialist mattresses for its patients, which cost around £4,500 each.
Mick Daw, PRISYM ID, said: “As an organisation, we are strongly committed to our local community. We’re proud to support Thames Hospice as our Charity of the Year for 2016. Throughout the year we will be arranging a variety of events and projects that will help support the valuable work Thames Hospice carries out within the community.”
The Thames Hospice Fundraising Team visited PRISYM ID’s offices earlier this month to discuss the ways they can get involved in the coming year - including the company hosting a Donation Station to allow staff to give furniture, electronics and clothing, which Thames Hospice will sell in their 14 local shops. In addition, PRISYM ID has committed to giving each member of staff one extra day’s leave to use their skills to support the charity. Starting the fundraising efforts is Jon Knights, Customer Service Administrator at PRISYM ID, who has signed up to run the Wokingham and Reading Half Marathons for Thames Hospice. Neil Harman, Director of Fundraising at Thames Hospice, concludes: “We’re really looking forward to having PRISYM ID’s support throughout 2016 and working with them to further our work in the local community. Their enthusiasm and great ideas will all help to raise the vital funds needed to care for our patients now and in the future.”
