New hospice café name announced

Last month Thames Hospice invited its community to cast their vote and decide on a name for the caf é at their new hospice, set to open later this year. Voters chose their favourite name from a shortlist of three picked by Hospice staff and volunteers.

The votes have been counted and Thames Hospice is delighted to announce the winner is:

Caf é by the Lake

Thames Hospice is set to open the doors to its new state-of-the-art Hospice by Bray Lake, near Maidenhead, in October 2020. The new building, set in eight acres of beautiful landscaped gardens, will provide urgent hospice care and support to even more local families now, and for generations to come.

Caf é by the Lake will be open to the public and visitors to the hospice all year round, serving a fantastic selection of refreshments including homemade cakes, fresh coffee, and delicious lunches. Located at the heart of the new hospice in the main reception area, customers can sit inside or outside on the terrace and enjoy the beautiful views of Bray Lake.
