We are delighted to announce that Martin-Baker, the world's leading manufacturer of ejection and crashworthy seats, is the first organisation to host a Thames Hospice Donation Station.
Martin-Baker's employees can bring their pre-loved clothes, jewellery, homeware, books, CDs and DVDs to work and drop them into the convenient pop-up Donation Station. The donations will be used to stock our growing portfolio of shops and every penny raised from items sold will help to fund our expert palliative and end-of-life care services.
Robert Martin, Director, Martin-Baker, based in Denham, South Buckinghamshire, said: "It is a pleasure for us to be able to support Thames Hospice. I believe a large proportion of our employees, their family and friends will at some time rely on the care and support that hospices such as Thames Hospice provide. It is therefore very fitting that we facilitate our employees in being able to donate items at their workplace, to help raise vital funds for the Hospice."
Our retail team will tailor-make a supporter package to fit in with your organisation, the team will arrange to drop off the assembled station and pick up the donations when its full.
Julie Rowley, Director of Retail at Thames Hospice, said: "We are thrilled that Martin-Baker is supporting us. A Donation Station is an easy way for employees to be able to donate their pre-loved items and, in turn, keep our growing number of our charity shops in the Thames Valley stocked. It's also a fantastic way to get a large proportion of employees involved in corporate social responsibility initiatives."
