See below for the most up to date Covid-19 information for individual areas of the hospice.

Inpatient Unit

The Inpatient Unit remains open, continuing to care for patients with palliative and end-of-life care needs.

Main reception is open daily, 9am to 7pm. Outside of these hours, access to the Inpatient Unit is via the Ambulance and Night Entrance. Please ring the buzzer for assistance.

Our visiting hours on the Inpatient Unit are 9am to 7pm, Monday to Sunday. Last admission for visiting is 7pm. If visitors are here before 7pm, they may stay until 9pm. Visiting is limited to two people from any household at one time.

All visitors must wear a face mask on the Inpatient Unit, provided by the Hospice, and do a Lateral Flow Test before visiting. You must show proof of a negative test result within the last 24 hours before visiting the Hospice. To acquire these tests, please visit your local pharmacy, or order online here. Testing kits are free to all members of the public. Please upload your test result to the government's website at www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result. Please show this on your phone to our reception staff on arrival. If you are unable to do this, please bring in your negative test panel and give it to our reception staff to dispose of. If you arrive without a test, we can do one for you here.

Café by the Lake is open to the public Monday to Sunday, 8am to 7pm. All café visitors must check-in using the NHS Covid-19 app by scanning the QR code at reception.

Covid-19 Risk Assessments

These are our Covid-19 Health and Safety Risk Assessments for the Thames Hospice site and retail sites. We have focused on the results of our assessment and the steps we have implemented to control the risks identified. We are committed to maintaining a safe workplace and to meeting our duty of care to our employees and volunteers.

Make a difference

We rely on the generosity of our amazing community, whose support enables us to provide the best possible end-of-life care for local people. It costs £12 million every year to keep our Hospice running - through charitable support we need to raise over 50% of the funds required annually to provide our services free of charge, 365 days a year, to the people who need us most.

We’ve never needed you, our wonderful supporters, more than we need you today. Please donate what you can to help keep hospice care available for those in desperate need.
