Thames Hospice believes every person has the right to live a life free from abuse and to be treated with dignity and respect.
A Registered Manager should be appropriately skilled with the qualification(s), knowledge and experience and demonstrate the competency required to manage the regulated activity.
At Thames Hospice the Director of Nursing and Family Services, Lisa Church, is our Caldicott Guardian. A Caldicott Guardian is a senior person responsible for protecting the confidentiality of people’s health and care information and making sure it is used properly.
Each year we publish a Quality Account which summaries the quality of our clinical services, our achievements during the previous year, as well looking forwards with a focus on setting out our priorities for making enhancements to services for patients and families.
Our 2021-2024 strategy is the collaborative work of our Senior Leadership Team, Thames Hospice colleagues, partners and our service users. We believe this strategy clearly defines our ambitions and our vision, mission and values which underpin everything we do.
We rely on the generosity of our amazing community, whose support enables us to provide the best possible end-of-life care for local people. It costs £12 million every year to keep our Hospice running - through charitable support we need to raise over 50% of the funds required annually to provide our services free of charge, 365 days a year, to the people who need us most.
We’ve never needed you, our wonderful supporters, more than we need you today. Please donate what you can to help keep hospice care available for those in desperate need.
