Leaving a gift
Including a Gift in your, Will is an important decision and you will need to consider some key information
when making or updating your Will.
Take care of your loved ones – An up to date Will ensures that your family and loved ones have financial security.
Avoid intestacy - It is a common misconception that if a married person passes away their entire estate will inevitably pass to the surviving spouse. The only way to ensure your estate passes in accordance with your wishes is to write a Will.
- A Will is a clear and binding expression of your wishes, and helps avoid bitterness and disputes that could damage the relationships of your nearest and dearest.
Protect your children – With the right provision in your Will, you can protect as much of your estate as possible for your children and grandchildren. If they are still under 18 or have support needs, it will also allow you to specify who will care for them.
Support your local hospice - Many people choose to support Thames Hospice in recognition of the compassionate care they or a loved one has received, or because they wish to support an excellent local charity.
Thames Hospice has been granting last wishes since 1987. With your support, we can continue for the next 30 and beyond.
