Castle Hotel - Charity of the year

The Castle Hotel Windsor’s Charity of the Year partnership with Thames Hospice highlights the impact a committed corporate partnership can achieve.

Between April 2024 and March 2025, staff, guests, and the wider community participated in a year-long programme of fundraising and in-kind support, raising £12,578 enough to provide 11 days of specialist inpatient hospice care.

Activities included high-profile events like the James Bond–themed “Dress to Thrill” Gala Ball, taking part in the Thames Hospice flagship fundraising event the Sunflower walk along with employee led challenges, quiz nights, sweepstakes, seasonal campaigns, and contributions of items to donation station for resale at the Thames Hospice stores and prize donations for others to use to help raise money or reward our staff who care for the patients.

By establishing a dedicated Social, Charity and Green Committee, the Castle Hotel embedded charitable giving into its culture strengthening team spirit, boosting employee engagement, and aligning community impact with business values.

Choosing Thames Hospice as a Charity of the Year partner enables organisations to unite teams, engage customers, and create lasting impact in their local community demonstrating how sustained partnerships truly change lives.
