Palliative and end-of-life care offers an opportunity to provide physical, psychological, and emotional support to patients and the people they are close to.
We are able to offer a variety of placements and work experience at Thames Hospice. These range from day visits for students and healthcare professionals, to longer placement allocations for those undergoing professional preparatory degree programmes.
We welcome pre and post registration health science students from a variety of professional groups for placements at Thames Hospice, eg. nurse associates, undergraduate nursing, paramedic, physiotherapists, and return to practice students.
Students are supported during their placements by Practice Supervisors and Practice Assessors.

For prospective students
We offer an annual work experience week for year 12 students who are hoping to study a degree in medicine, nursing or other allied health professions, such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy and paramedic science. Click here to find out more and register your interest.
