Catherine brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and expertise to the Thames Hospice board following a successful career specialising in paediatrics and community nursing. She has extensive health service experience across a variety of settings including acute hospitals, community providers and commissioning groups.
Catherine has worked at the Department of Health with the Performance Improvement Team leading interventions in emergency care. Before retiring, she worked at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital as the Director for Community and Children’s Mental Health.
Having lived experience of hospice care, Catherine is passionate about the sector and sees the Hospice as a place of hope when everything in life can be very dark and grim.
Catherine is a keen walker with her Cocker Spaniel 'Lottie', particularly along the River Thames. She has a large family and an eclectic mix of friends spread far and wide - travel and keeping in touch is what she enjoys most.
